There has been a fatal hit-and-run accident on Highway 99 near Sacramento. Earlier this week, a driver in a Ford F-150 pickup truck hit a construction worker who had cordoned off the area to traffic. Emergency medical technicians declared the worker dead at the scene from his injuries. The worker’s identity has not been released to the public due to the ongoing investigation.
Local California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers are now asking the public’s help in identifying the driver who hit and killed the worker before fleeing the scene. Based on eyewitness statements, the Ford F-15 pickup truck should have right-side damage, including a missing side-view mirror. Anyone with information should call the South Sacramento CHP office at (916) 897-5600.
