Jim Thompson
About
After graduating from law school, Jim went to work for the Butte County District Attorney’s office as an assistant district attorney, where he tried many jury trials before going into civil practice with the law firm of Leonard and Lyde in 1977. Jim opened his own firm in 1985 and practiced personal injury law, emphasizing medical malpractice from 1985-2021. Jim enjoys being a personal injury attorney because it allows him to assist people who have been injured and need help. He enjoys golfing, fishing, and hunting
Jim went to work for Mr. Buckley in November 2021 and has emphasized personal injury and medical malpractice.

It should be noted that the American Board of Trial Advocates is a very select organization, and admittance to the organization is based upon the number of jury trails tried and being voted in by attorneys. It’s a very prestigious organization and has a very selective membership. Mr. Thompson has tried over 100 jury trials to reach a verdict.
